A capsule food supplement, one a day.

🧬 MedicGLP: chromium meets ten botanicals

One capsule, thirty days, eleven ingredients each with a name and a number: MedicGLP pairs 100 µg of chromium with ten botanical ingredients, from green tea leaf extract through to resveratrol. That’s 510 mg of botanicals, wrapped in an HPMC shell made from cellulose.

MedicGLP is intended for adults aged 18 and over who want to supplement their daily diet. It is a food supplement, not a medicine — not prescription-only, and not a replacement for medical treatment.

Everything in the capsule, and how much of it.

📋 Eleven ingredients. Eleven numbers.

NRV = Nutrient Reference Value. No NRV has been set for botanical ingredients.

🧪 Capsule shell: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), derived from cellulose.

The biggest single ingredient is green tea leaf extract at 154 mg, drawn from the leaves of Camellia sinensis. Apple cider vinegar follows at 150 mg. Berberine HCl is a yellow plant alkaloid found in barberry and its relatives. Ginger root, cassia cinnamon bark and cayenne come straight from the spice rack; bitter orange from the Mediterranean. Banaba grows as a tree across South-East Asia, while Korean ginseng spends several years in the ground before the root is lifted. Rounding things off is resveratrol from Japanese knotweed — 1 mg, the smallest entry on the list.

No blends. No rounded numbers. That’s what’s on the tub.

Once a day, ideally with a meal.

💧 One capsule, one glass of water

Take one capsule a day, ideally with a meal and a glass of water. No powder, no shaker, no stirring — one capsule a day. Pick a fixed point in your routine and the habit looks after itself. One tub, thirty days. Don’t exceed the stated daily intake.

Chromium at 100 µg per capsule.

✅ MedicGLP and the 250%

Chromium is the only mineral in the formula. At 100 µg per capsule, MedicGLP delivers 250% of the Nutrient Reference Value.

  • Chromium contributes to normal macronutrient metabolism.

A varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are important.

For the ten botanical ingredients, no health claims are authorised on the GB nutrition and health claims register. So we list them by origin, plant part and amount, and leave it there. What the research says about them, and how the amounts in this formula compare, is set out on the studies page.

⚠️ Worth a quick check first

Berberine affects enzymes involved in drug metabolism, including CYP3A4 and the transport protein P-glycoprotein. That means it can interact with blood-glucose-lowering medicines, anticoagulants and immunosuppressants. MedicGLP is not suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, because of the berberine.

Bitter orange fruit extract contains p-synephrine and can affect blood pressure and heart rate. If you have high blood pressure or a cardiovascular condition, or you take MAO inhibitors, talk it through with your doctor first.

Green tea leaf extract is best not taken on an empty stomach, or on the same day as other green tea products. Not for anyone under 18.

And if you take prescription medication regularly, speak to your GP or pharmacist first. One phone call. Five minutes.

❓ MedicGLP: the questions we get most

💊 Is MedicGLP a prescription product?

No. MedicGLP is a food supplement, regulated as a food, not as a medicine. It does not replace medical treatment.

⏰ When is the best time to take it?

Once a day, with a meal and a glass of water. Breakfast, lunch or dinner — what matters is that it fits reliably into your day.

🌱 Is the capsule suitable for vegans?

Yes. The shell is HPMC, a cellulose derivative from a plant source. No gelatine.

📅 How long does one tub last?

30 capsules, one a day: exactly 30 days. The three-pack sees you through three months.

🔓 Can I open the capsule?

It’s designed to be swallowed. If that’s difficult for you, have a quick word with your pharmacist about a suitable alternative.

🩺 I take medication, or I’m pregnant — can I still take it?

MedicGLP isn’t suitable during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, because of the berberine it contains. If you’re on medication, particularly anticoagulants, immunosuppressants or blood-glucose-lowering medicines, check with your doctor before you start.
